We aim to tailor activities to our residents interests and preferences, always making sure that everyone has a choice of things to do.
At The Manor we try to offer as many varied events and activities as possible. Currently our residents enjoy a book club, games group, arts and crafts, as well as musical performances by professional musicians, which are very popular. However most activities work best in small groups where individual needs and differing interests can be better met. We also have the benefit of a lovely garden and when interested, our gardeners are happy to help residents get involved in planting and planning.
Amongst the most popular events are the regular piano performances by local musician and teacher, Gwyn Morgans. They are usually attended by a large number of residents.
Local beautician, Jessica McCulloch runs a well attended (usually by the ladies) cuticles and cake session, where she provides manicures, as well as delicious cakes and good conversation.
Bryan Bird of The Baytree Florist, Cowbridge, a friend of The Manor, hosts flower arranging classes for our residents. We are also are grateful to him for the flowers that we enjoy throughout year.
Residents and their families often tell us how much they enjoy our Christmas lunch and carol service at St Hilary Church. We're very grateful to the RAF for helping take residents to church and to the Friends of The Manor for their support in making this the highlight of the year. You can see images from the 2016 lunch, as well as other activities in our gallery.
Throughout the year we enjoy the friendship and support of the members of St Hilary Church.
We are always open to further suggestions and ideas.
